Since 1960, Tibetan Homes Foundation has provided an education to Tibetan children in exile. Over 2,350 children attend the school and each year they receive many new arrivals from Tibet.
Their Mussoorie campus is desperately overcrowded; school buildings designed for 500 children currently house 1,600.
The new Charlimont Estate development will give children a home and school life appropriate to their age and needs, with accommodation and classrooms for Class 3 children (aged six), many of whom are new arrivals from Tibet requiring extra care.
Work is progressing well, foundations have been built into the steep mountainside, and the walls of the main buildings are complete. However, a further £99,000 is required to finish and equip the building.
Your donation will help Tibetan Homes Foundation to continue work on this vital project.
