The Tibetan Homes Foundation, based at Mussoorie in the northern Indian Himalayas, provides homes and education to over 2,400 children. Over 80 per cent of these are either orphans or children whose parents remain in Tibet. The winters in Mussoorie can be bitingly cold and warm clothes, coats, scarves, gloves and boots are essential to keep the children safe from harm.
