Prayer Flags

The Tibetan word for prayer flag is 'Lung ta', meaning 'windhorse'. When wind blows, the sacred prayer flag flaps in the breeze and the prayers contained on the flag are carried out to all beings as a blessing. The traditional five colours of prayer flags represent the five Buddha family; blue - space, white - cloud, red - fire, green - water and yellow - earth.
