The Fabric of Tibet + Free Fabric of Tibet Colouring Book

NGO/AJB-BOOK

In 1982, British artist, Anne Jennings Brown, travelled from England to Dharamsala - the home of the Tibetan exile community since 1960. During her stay, Anne set out to record Tibet's rich history of dress. Her paintings and drawings reproduced in painstaking detail the multiplicity of Tibetan regional dress and methods of production, and are accompanied by her extensive research. Now, The Fabric of Tibet makes the collection available for the first, in accordance with Anne's original intention: to preserve and promote Tibetan cultural heritage.

The Fabric of Tibet is a beautifully produced art book containing nearly 200 vibrantly detailed paintings by Anne Jennings Brown that record a fascinating and fast-disappearing aspect of Tibet's cultural heritage.

This uniquely important illustrated book will explore the rich and varied regional dress of Tibet within its social, geographic, and historical context.
